Fourth Writers’ Platform Building Campaign

Rach Writes is currently running the Fourth Writer’s Platform Campaign, with signups now available from her blog. I’ve just joined up for the mini-campaign and am looking forward to hooking up with some more thriller writers, plus have a look around at other genres.

Swiped from the Fourth Writer’s Platform Campaign post (where you will get many more details plus a link to the signup form) here is a summary of the campaign –

What is the Campaign?

Basically, the Campaign is a way to link those of us in the writing community together with the aim of helping to build our online platforms. The Campaigners are all bloggers in a similar position, who genuinely want to pay it forward, make connections and friends within the writing community, and help build each others’ online platforms while at the same time building theirs.

This runs similarly to several other blogging / writing challenges in that you sign up to a particular campaign using a Mr Linky widget, and can use that list to follow and support fellow genre writers. (I’ve joined the so-far small suspense/thriller campaign listing). But unlike other challenges, this one allows me to find people interested in my own genre, and offer them my own support also.

Although this is a mini-campaign running only to March 17th, the FWPB campaign is supported by helpers, and there will be a couple of challenges. Importantly, on Fridays there will be an announcement post which writers can use to announce blogfests, new books etc.

I intend participating mostly via this blog, although have also put up this post on my author platform website, hoping to attract some more thriller writers to the campaign.
