Sitting outside under the shade umbrella, this is part of my view. While I am happy reading a book over lunch, I am sometimes distracted by the intensity of my daughter’s beginner vegetable garden.
This is the one cucumber she’s managed to grow. It’s very curly, and so far has avoided being eaten by the large possum that lives in our garage roof.
Click through on the photo for hints at how to grow cucumbers, from which I quote something that makes me happy –
“Home grown cucumbers are usually a bit knobbly and may not be as perfect as the shop bought, but they make up for that in their taste and texture.”
